MARCH

The Vermont Lions Hart Memorial Award is presented to a graduating high school senior that has a disability or debilitating illness, either physically or mentally, and is planning to attend college upon graduating high school.  The recipient of the award will receive $1,000. To apply you must fill out a HIPAA Release Form and provide doctor contact information. The award is in the amount of $1,000. Deadline is March 8, 2019. - Vermont Lions Hart Memorial Award


The Vermont State Council Knights of Columbus Scholarship is presented to a student who is a member, a child of a member in good standing, or the child of a deceased member who was in good standing. Five $1,000 scholarships will be awarded. Deadline is March 10, 2019. -  Vermont State Council Knights of Columbus Scholarship


Dr. Alice Angney Scholarship for Leadership & Service is awarded by the Vermont Superintendents Association.  They award one $2,000 scholarship to one senior who demonstrated initiative in overcoming a specific challenge or challenges, leadership, community service, and academic achievement. Luna Moore Scholarship is awarded by The Community Club of East Barnard.  They have three $500 scholarships available to seniors who live in the Broad Brook watershed and plan to further their education. Deadline is March 28, 2019. - Luna Moore Scholarship


The Hartford Emblem Club #150 Scholarship is presented to a senior who demonstrates financial need, works hard, is involved in community activities and best expresses in an essay what being a citizen of the United States of America means to them. Deadline is March 30, 2019. - Please pick up an application in the Guidance Office.

APRIL

The Orange County Maple Producers Association Scholarship.  Applicants must be a resident of Orange County.  Anyone may apply, but first priority is given to a student(s) entering an agricultural program with an interest in or from maple.  Scholarships generally range from $1,000 to $2,000 and may not exceed $4,000.  Deadline is applications must be postmarked by April 15, 2019. - Orange County Maple Producers Association Scholarship


The Fletcher “Buster” Brush Memorial Scholarship.  To apply for this scholarship you do not have to be the highest academic achiever, or the star athlete, but you need to demonstrate compassion for others, a strong work ethic, school spirit, leadership, community service and the desire to challenge yourself. Up to two $1,000 scholarships are awarded each year and may be renewed for up to four years.  Deadline is April 15, 2019. - The Fletcher Buster Brush Memorial Scholarship


The Sons of the American Legion Dennis Comai Scholarship is granted to a student planning to attend a trade school or technical college and whose grandparent, parent, or sibling is a member of the American Legion Family (American Legion, Ladies Auxiliary, or Sons of the American Legion). In southern Vermont they will give out two scholarships, one for $500 and one for $1,000.  Deadline is April 15, 2019. -  The Sons of the American Legion Dennis Comai Scholarship

The Burlington Hyundai-Subaru “Drive For Excellence” Award is presented to 4 lucky Juniors or Seniors.  One will get a car and the other three will receive a $1,000 scholarship.  Submit your quarter 3 report card and register online to be entered in the drawing.  Students are entered repeatedly based upon the number of A’s and B’s they receive. MAY

Vermont Golf Association Scholarship to be granted annually for up to four years.  The number and amount of scholarships is determined annually.  Applicants must be accepted or enrolled as a full-time student.  Some criteria used for selection are financial need, school performance, and the applicant’s (not family) affiliation to the game of golf; such as competing, working at a golf course, or participating in golf programs/events. Members Advantage Community Credit Union Scholarship is offered to up to 9 students in  the amount of $500 to $1,000 to further their education.  They must be a member of the Credit Union at the time of application (see more details in the “Field of Membership” attached to the application).  Also see the application for more information regarding school academic/activity requirements.  Deadline is May 3, 2019. – Members Advantage Community Credit Union Scholarship

Gifford Medical Center Auxiliary Scholarship
for area students pursuing a career in the health profession.  The graduating senior must reside in a town served by Gifford Medical Center (see list on application).  Student must submit application with two letters of reference and a self-essay.  Amount of scholarship varies each year.  Deadline is May 10, 2019. – Gifford Medical Center Auxiliary Scholarship



The Cone Automatic Machine Company Scholarship offers up to six scholarships ranging from $1,500 to $6,000.  Eligible students are children or grandchildren of former employees of Cone-Blanchard Machine Company having a minimum of 5 years continuous service.  Your application must be postmarked by the following deadline. Deadline is May 10, 2019. - Cone Automatic Machine Company Scholarship


Royalton Civic Club’s Scholarship is for a senior who demonstrates financial need and clear career plans.  Applicants must complete the form and write an essay in 300 words or less discussing any work experiences, hobbies/interests and future goals. Please submit applications to the Guidance Office.  Deadline is May 17, 2019.Royalton Civic Club Scholarship


Wildcat Music Boosters is proud to offer the opportunity for senior student musicians to apply for a scholarship in the amount of $250, given in memory of our very own Music Man, Richard (Dick) Ellis. Up to 4 scholarships are available. Scholarship Criteria: The applicant must have participated in band and/or chorus throughout High School.  Please submit applications to the Guidance Office. TRORC – Two Rivers-Ottauquechee Regional Commission Scholarship
is awarded annually to up to eight students, each receiving a $1,000 scholarship.  Deadline is before 4:30 pm on May 17, 2019. - Two Rivers Ottauquechee Regional Commission


The Bethel Area Rotary Scholarship will be awarded to seniors who reside in Bethel, Royalton, Tunbridge, Barnard, Rochester, Pittsfield and Stockbridge.  There will be two $1,000 scholarships for students attending a two or four year institution of higher education and two $500 scholarships for students entering vocational training or a trade that requires specialized equipment.  Students will provide proof of how their life so far exemplifies the Rotary's mission - "Service Above Self".  Deadline is May 20, 2019. - Bethel Area Rotary Scholarship

 
Veterans of Foreign War Scholarship offers a scholarship to a non affiliated student and to student who is the son/grandson or daughter/granddaughter of a VFW post 2571 member.  These scholarships are in the amount of $500.  Deadline is May 20, 2019. - Veterans of Foreign War Scholarship


White River Valley High School Booster Club offers up to four $500 scholarships for senior student athletes.  Students submit their applications to the Guidance Office.  Deadline is May 24, 2019. – White River Valley Booster Club Scholarship


JUNE

The Heartland Lions Club has scholarships available to seniors who are residents of Royalton, Sharon or Tunbridge.  The scholarship is based on need, scholarship, citizenship & community service, and extracurricular activities.  Deadline is June 1, 2019. - Heartland Lions Club Scholarship


James David Fadden Sr. Student Athlete Scholarship is available to Senior Student Athletes in the amount of $500. 
The applicant must have participated in team sports during high school and demonstrated good character/conduct as an athlete and student. Students should submit their applications to the Guidance Office.  Deadline is by NOON June 7, 2019. - James D. Fadden Sr. Scholarship 

 
The Rosemary McLaughlin Memorial Scholarship is given to one senior who demonstrates community service. Students should submit their applications to the Guidance Office.  Deadline is by 3pm June 7, 2019. - The Rosemary McLaughlin Memorial Scholarship

Charles W. Welch Leadership Award
is given to one senior who demonstrates the personal qualities routinely exhibited by Mr. Welch of commitment to family and all undertakings, a positive attitude, unwavering personal ethics and leadership by example and accomplishment.  Students submit their applications to the Guidance Office.  Deadline is June 7, 2019. - Scholarship - Charles W Welch Leadership Award


The Shaun Pickett Award
is for seniors involved in the arts throughout their high school career.  Please submit a complete list of ALL Drama Shows, Festivals, or ANY additional activities that are related to the arts to the Guidance Office.  Deadline is June 7, 2019.

The Horatio Alger Association seeks to assist students who have demonstrated integrity, perseverance in overcoming adversity, strength of character, financial need, and commitment to pursue career or technical certification/degree, and a desire to contribute to society. The association will award 1020 scholarships up to $2,500 per scholarship based on cost of program and student’s need.  Deadline is June 15, 2019. - Horatio Alger Association Scholarship
