MARCH

The Vermont Lions Hart Memorial Award is presented to a graduating high school senior that has a disability or debilitating illness, either physically or mentally, and is planning to attend college upon graduating high school.  To apply you must fill out a HIPAA Release Form and provide doctor contact information.  The award is in the amount of $1,000.  Deadline is March 8, 2020. - Vermont Lions Hart Memorial Scholarship


The Dr. Alice Angney Scholarship for Leadership & Service is awarded to a deserving high school senior who resides in Vermont.  The recipient will be chosen by the Vermont Superintendents Association (VSA) selection committee on the basis of the student's initiative in overcoming a specific challenge, leadership and service to community, and academic achievement.  The recipient will demonstrate a commitment to furthering their education after high school.  The scholarship is in the amount of $3,000.  Deadline is NOON, March 16, 2020.
Dr. Alice Angney Leadership & Service Scholarship


The Luna Moore Scholarship is awarded by The Community Club of East Barnard.  They have three scholarships available to seniors who live in the Broad Book watershed and plan to further their education.  The scholarships are in the amount of $500 each.  Deadline is March 20, 2020. - Luna Moore Scholarship


The St. Andrew's Society of Vermont Scholarship Foundation awards three to five scholarships to students who will be enrolled in an associate or bachelor degree program and the selection is based upon academic performance, including SAT scores; 3 letters of recommendation; a letter of educational goals and financial need. The scholarships are in the amount of $1,000 each.  Deadline is 5pm on March 28, 2020. - St Andrew's Society of VT Scholarship 


APRIL

The Horatio Alger Association seeks to assist students who have demonstrated integrity, perseverance in overcoming adversity, strength of character, financial need, and commitment to pursue career or technical certification/degree, and a desire to contribute to society. The association will award scholarships up to $2,500 per scholarship based on cost of program and student’s need. Deadline is April 15, 2020. – Horatio Alger Career & Technical Scholarship

The Sons of the American Legion Dennis Comai Scholarship
 
is granted to a student planning to attend a trade school or technical college and whose grandparent, parent, or sibling is a member of the American Legion Family (American Legion, Ladies Auxiliary, or Sons of the American Legion). In southern Vermont they will give out two scholarships, one for $500 and one for $1,000.  Deadline is April 15, 2020. – The Sons of the American Legion Dennis Comai Scholarship

The Burlington Hyundai-Subaru "Drive For Excellence" Award 
is presented to 4 lucky Juniors or Seniors.  One will get a car and the other three will received a $1,000 scholarship.  Submit your quarter 3 report card and register online to be entered in the drawing.  Students are entered repeatedly based upon the number of A's and B's they receive. Deadline to register is NOW April 30, 2020 and Deadline to have the school submit your grades is NOW April 30, 2020.The Burlington Hyundai-Subaru Drive For Excellence Award


MAY

The League of Women Voters of Vermont Education Fund grant The Winona Smith Scholarship to a senior who has demonstrated an interest in civic participation & community service, who has a need for financial aid.  Deadline is May 1, 2020. – The League of Women Voters of Vermont Educational Fund Scholarship


Vermont Golf Association Scholarship
to be granted annually for up to four years.  The number and amount of scholarships is determined annually.  Applicants must be accepted or enrolled as a full-time student.  Some criteria used for selection are financial need, school performance, and the applicant’s (not family) affiliation to the game of golf; such as competing, working at a golf course, or participating in golf programs/events.  Deadline is May 1, 2020.  Vermont Golf Association Scholarship


Members Advantage Community Credit Union Scholarship
 is offered to up to 9 students in the amount of $500 to $1,000 to further their education.  They must be a member of the Credit Union at the time of application (see more details in the “Field of Membership” attached to the application).  Also see the application for more information regarding school academic/activity requirements.  Deadline is May 4, 2020. – Members Advantage Community Credit Union Scholarship
 

The Cone Automatic Machine Company Scholarship offers up to six scholarships ranging from $1,500 to $6,000.  Eligible students are children or grandchildren of former employees of Cone-Blanchard Machine Company having a minimum of 5 years of continuous service.  Your application must be postmarked by the following deadline.  Deadline is May 11, 2020.  Cone Automatic Machine Company Scholarship


Gifford Medical Center Auxiliary Scholarship
 for area students pursuing a career in the health profession.  The graduating senior must reside in a town served by Gifford Medical Center (see list on application).  Student must submit application with two letters of reference and a self-essay.  Amount of scholarship varies each year.  Deadline is May 15, 2020. – Gifford Medical Center Auxiliary Scholarship


TRORC – Two Rivers-Ottauquechee Regional Commission Scholarship 
is awarded annually to up to eight students, each receiving a $1,000 scholarship. Deadline is before 4:30pm on May 15, 2020.  Two Rivers Ottauquechee Regional Commission Scholarship


The Bethel Area Rotary Scholarship will be awarded to seniors who reside in Bethel, Royalton, Tunbridge, Barnard, Rochester, Pittsfield and Stockbridge.  There will be four $1,000 scholarships for students attending a two or four year institution of higher education.  Students will provide proof of how their life so far exemplifies the Rotary's mission - "Service Above Self".  Deadline is May 18, 2020. – Bethel Area Rotary Scholarship


White River Valley High School Athletic Booster Club offers up to four $500 scholarships for senior student athletes.  Students submit their applications to the Guidance Office via email to ivansteamburg@wrvsu.orgDeadline is May 29, 2020. – White River Valley High School Athletic Booster Club Scholarship



The Thompson Brothers' Memorial Scholarship in memory of Christian and Keanan Thompson will be awarding up to two $500 scholarships to seniors who will be attending a college, technical or trade school after graduation.  Students should submit their applications to lissnrs@live.comDeadline is May 29, 2020.   The Thompson Brothers' Memorial Scholarship

JUNE

The Heartland Lions Club has scholarships available to seniors who are residents of Royalton, Sharon or Tunbridge.  The scholarship is based on need, scholarship, citizenship & community service, and extracurricular activities.  Deadline is June 1, 2020. – The Heartland Lions Club Scholarship


Charles W. Welch Leadership Award
 
is given to one senior who demonstrates the personal qualities routinely exhibited by Mr. Welch of commitment to family and all undertakings, a positive attitude, unwavering personal ethics and leadership by example and accomplishment.  Students should submit their applications to the Guidance Office via email to ivansteamburg@wrvsu.org.  Deadline is June 1, 2020. –  Charles W Welch Leadership Award


The Shaun Pickett Award 
is for seniors involved in the arts throughout their high school career.  Please read the instructions and submit a complete list of ALL art related activities including, but not limited to, Drama Shows, Festivals, classes & projects to the Guidance Office via email to ivansteamburg@wrvsu.org.  Deadline is June 1, 2020. – Shaun Pickett Scholarship


James David Fadden Sr. Student Athlete Scholarship 
is available to senior student athletes in the amount of $500.  The applicant must have participated in team sports during high school and demonstrated good character/conduct as an athlete and student.  Students should submit their applications to the Guidance Office via email to ivansteamburg@wrvsu.org.  Deadline is by NOON on June 1, 2020. –  James D. The Rosemary McLaughlin Memorial Scholarship

Wildcat Music Boosters 
is proud to offer the opportunity for senior student musicians to apply for a scholarship in the amount of $250, given in memory of our very own Music Man, Richard (Dick) Ellis.  Up to 4 scholarships are available.  Scholarship Criteria:  The applicant must have participated in band and/or chorus throughout High School.  Please submit applications to the Guidance Office via email to ivansteamburg@wrvsu.org.  Deadline is by 3pm on June 1, 2020. – Music Boosters - Ellis Memorial Scholarship Form
